Experiment of Death - Unboxing

I received a box, a much anticipated delivery from Kingdom Death.  Long have I looked upon their models with longing.  I ordered the Experiment of Death box which is a pvc plastic re-cast of two awesome models.
I have always wanted a Wet Nurse, it is such an insane model.  I will be making some work in progress posts, starting here and ending with some nWo rules for the both of them.  Let's open the box shall we?
 It slides...
 Two cards, with wicked art.
These will get frames and put up in the war room.
 Bags of bits.
They each have their own bag.  Only one base, for the Twilight Knight.
The Twilight Knight bits.  One thing jumps out at me immediately; both swords are broken!  One is broken twice!  Don't worry....I have a plan.  Mold lines are not too bad, less than the usual amount I see on other minis.
 The base, has an insert?
The Wet Nurse's bits.  Lots of arms, a "tail", and some naked chicks.
It is about the size of a warbeast/dreadnought/warjack but with all the weight on the bottom.  All of the details are crisp, and the cast is hollow.
Fully detailed ladies. These will be used to set the scene on the base.
Until next round, be well.

The Cash Clowns: Prototaurs

The Cash Clowns are backed up by Sgt Ramus and his prototaurs.  A prototaur is a gene-bred humaniod similar to minotaurs of ancient Earth myths, and very aggressive warriors.  Being open to negotiation that benefits them, the Clowns offer good employment and a chance at a life slightly better than slums or mines.  The humans among the Clowns look upon then as equals which in turn distil loyalty in Ramus' crew.
Sgt Ramus is Radius' second in command, and carries an old energy pistol as well as the standard chainsaw.
The colours are carried over from the Clowns done previously, which carried over well in my opinion.
The prototaur named Torch carries a flame thrower for some added firepower.
Most of the bitz are from Imperial Guard, Chaos Marines, and Beastmen.  The armour is sculpted on, these were practice until the mercs came calling.

And the other two....
Like the other Clowns, these guys have Brutal, 40k and nWo rules.  Multiverse win!!

Hope you liked them, Until next round!

The Cash Clowns

The Cash Clowns are a mercenary group who travel the galaxy hunting things for money.  They exist simultaneously in multiple universes (40k and nWo) but primarily in Brutal.  Brutal is a game being created by Swimming Eagle over at RHG, and the Cash Clowns are my contribution.
Some of you might have seen their AI units, IKE and the Hound droids and the old reference to "Smiley Face Mercs".  I'm happy to say that this band of misfits is being realized.
Left to right; average clown, Captain Radius, clown with huge chainsaw, and average clown.
These minis, as many of you can tell, are based on Necromunda gangers (Cawdor and Retribution) with some additional armour made with greenstuff.  There are still six more waiting on the shelf.
I tried to keep with a construction site theme to the colour pallet.  Deep reds with yellow contrasts and muted undertones.  Almost everyone gets a smiley face.
As recommended on a previous post, some of my 40k terrain will get vandalized, which is a great idea.  There will also be an entry or two in the nWo Grmoire.
In 40k, I'm sure I can use the henchman rules for organizing a squad and hire them out as an elite choice.

You guessed it, ran out of words to say.....

Until next round.

GottaCon is Imminent

The final preparations are in full swing.  All other projects have been pushed to the backburner until Monday.  The trolls are ready and the kilt fits fine.
Painting competition entries have been chosen, an agonizing process as many of you know, and they all are complete except one...
Updated nWo books are being printed, stacked and stapled.  The adventuring party has received a magnetized tray, complete with bunny.
And the Iron Arena is complete!  Gaze upon its virgin plain....
The arena dominates a 4'x4' board, the stone border sits 10" in from the edge (what was kill box at the time...)
There are rumours that Cryx uses this venue to harvest materiel, I'm not going to say they don't...
The proper irrigation of the various fluids that are spilled here is essential.  Blood, boilerwater and other liquids are pumped underground to avoid flooding.
Two large drains sit on either side, filled with goo and stuff.
The whole thing was painted in the same scheme as Steamtown.  All of the walls and pipe fit in perfectly, but a dedicated table needs more,
In addition, 14 pieces of terrain were made for modular deployment.  Two metal hills, four walls (cover), four rubble strips (concealment) and four pillars.
The idea is that before deployment, a player rolls a d3 and adds one for every ten points the game is, this is how many pieces of terrain are placed with the standard terrain placement rules in the book.
The pillars are for flavour and are not part of the terrain placement stuff.  If both players are cool with it, the pillars can be used by any beast or jack with an open fist.  The pillar adds +4 to melee damage and has knockback (the target gets slammed).  If the jack/beast has two open fists they can throw it; range is half the user's Str, POW 4 (plus user's Str), the pillar is then placed on its side beside the target (scatter for which side).  The pillar can be carried or dropped without spending an action, while picking one up would cost one action.
Until GottaCon...be well...

IKE's Little Friends

Haven't you always wanted some flying droids with magnetic acceleration guns? I have for a little while now. The merc army is where they belong.
I am starting off small, with the 'regular' sized ones. They get the usual treatment of smilies, hazard stripes and barcodes. I might keep repeating the random white lines, they seem sci-fi-y.
As far rules, well I haven't thought that far. Possibly jetbikes with 24" Str4 AP5 A3 guns? 3-5 in a Fast Attack squadron? No combat ability (WS2 Str3 A1) with a moderate Ld (7?) I will post the datasheet on Rabbit Hole sometime soon. (EDIT: I posted the rules HERE! Yay!)
All feed back is appreciated!
