Asurmen is finished, he of the massive mohawk. I decided on using the turquoise on the pheonix armor, highlighted in a similar fashion to gems.
The rest of him, with the exception of the wraithbone, was kept black to match with the Dire Avengers of my craftworld. I am most happy with the way the blade turned out, I was going for a glassy effect, I think it turned out well.
And now my Dire Avengers just got nastier!
Outstanding, well done, I really like that bone. The free hand is well executed as well, nice work!
ReplyDeleteI will be doing some temple bases for some veterans and if you don't mind sharing that recipie - I would appreciate it for the stone work!
stunning work. I really like the blade, its come out really nicely. My only criticism (and its very minor) would be that I think the face could do with something a bit more. I'm not sure exactly what, perhaps some subtly glowing eyes, but compared to the rest of the model it just seems a bit basic.
ReplyDeleteI lover the patterning on the robs too. Well done indeed
Not only is a great paintwork, but is a guideline to paint my Asurmen (you painted it in almost the colours of my craftworld).
ReplyDeleteTallarn - the recipe for my wraithbone is; vomit brown, bleached bone, ogryn flesh wash, bleached bone and sometimes skull white.
ReplyDeleteSmurf - hmmmm...glow....might try that, thanks! (his face was bugging me too).
Grajo - you have some great eldar, I can't wait to see your asurya!
My next post is about Fuegan so... :D
